30 January – 1 March 2025
New York

Rediscoveries. Five Centuries of European Painting was an exhibition of European Old Master paintings bringing together nine artworks, each representing a significant art historical discovery of recent years, the result of technical analysis, scholarly research and connoisseurship. Prior to the research undertaken by the gallery, many of the paintings were unknown, unpublished, or misattributed. The paintings ranged from the fifteenth to the nineteenth centuries, demonstrating the breadth as well as the depth of the gallery’s expertise.
Artists represented in the exhibition were Jacopo Bassano, Neri di Bicci, Francesco Botticini, Vincenzo Cabianca, Artemisia Gentileschi, Francisco Goya, Filippo Napoletano, Hyacinthe Rigaud, and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo.
A catalogue was published to accompany the exhibition, with essays by leading scholars on each artwork, together with a separate catalogue devoted to Vincenzo Cabianca’s Ai Bagni di Viareggio.
